We are thankful that organizations such as American Legion and United Veterans of Colorado make a big effort to track the Colorado Legislature with respect to Veterans. The Veterans Coalition also has members in both organizations so we should make an effort to benefit from their reports.

BILLS THAT FAILED
HB24-0110 Employer to Post Veterans Benefit Availability.—would have required to post somewhere the business a poster on veterans benefits.
HB24-1226 Tuition Assistance for Colorado National Guard and Dependents –Would have given assistance to State supported institutions.
HB24-1014 Deceptive Trade Practices—Would have amended State Statues on business practices to prevent unethical practices concerning veteran benefits.
HB24-1166 Expand Homestead Exemptions—Would have changed the property tax exemption for 100% disabled and Gold Star Spouses from 50% of the first $200,000 of property value to 50% of the mean value of the property.
